So we've started answering comments in "How To Read Effulgence" in character, and that's not really the ideal platform for those conversations. This is! You may address characters here and we may opt to answer in character. You will get a kind of loosely "backstage" out-of-continuity version of the character (in continuity proper, you cannot talk to them, since you aren't there) and if you want them at a specific (past relative to where we're writing) point in time, feel free to specify (e.g. "Addy in 1932", "Shell in her box", "the Joker while committed", "Minus right after he woke up from turning", "the alethiometer on the subject of 1207").

Re: Question for a Minor Character
Date: 2015-02-12 04:55 am (UTC)- I can't inhabit the already significantly handwaved perspective of a backstage character and also answer the question;
- My eyes skipped over it;
- It was confusing and for whatever reason I expect seeking clarification to be unrewarding;
- Answering reliably would require making decisions that I/we haven't made yet.
Most of these are at least theoretically fixable if you ask the question substantially rephrased and from another angle. (I don't currently know what you want to know about Minnie, exactly.)
If kappa doesn't answer a question it's typically because his brain isn't working when she first sees it, and then he forgets it exists during times when her brain is working better.
Re: Question for a Minor Character
Date: 2015-02-12 05:37 am (UTC)I expect the character would be interested in looking at this kind of thing, and I expect as a reader to be interested in what she says (I like Glass-utterances). I wasn’t sure if you would care for writing it or not, but I expected you to be able to handwave something if you wanted to (whether or not you took the out of auras not working through past-sight).
