Talk To Glowfic Characters

So we've started answering comments in "How To Read Effulgence" in character, and that's not really the ideal platform for those conversations. This is! You may address characters here and we may opt to answer in character. You will get a kind of loosely "backstage" out-of-continuity version of the character (in continuity proper, you cannot talk to them, since you aren't there) and if you want them at a specific (past relative to where we're writing) point in time, feel free to specify (e.g. "Addy in 1932", "Shell in her box", "the Joker while committed", "Minus right after he woke up from turning", "the alethiometer on the subject of 1207").

Any glowfic author may use this thread to receive questions.

This is a fine place.

Not all of these words have appeared in published Elcenia stories before and some of them were made up specifically for this thread/Reform Draconic.

Leraal words:
sisaak: dragon.
e'sisaak: dragonish.

Draconic words:
siad: dragon.
siaddaki: awesome, glorious, spectacular, cool, in the particular way characterized by dragons (Elcenian).
shren: an abhorrent condition occasionally occurring in the children of dragons, symptoms being inability to fly in natural form and irredeemable terribleness.
teah: miracle; the only possible cure for a shren, what with the terribleness being irredeemable and all.
sirasiad: Draconic.

Reform Draconic words which Draconic cannot accommodate:
siahr: Any member of the group "dragons and shrens".
sirasiahr: Reform Draconic.
shren: A siahr who cannot fly in their natural form.
shrennaki: awesome, glorious, spectacular, cool, in the particular way characterized by shrens.

You managed to make my favorite character of all time, aka Miles Naismith Vorkosigan even more awesome as Mialavar. Kudos to Lazarus as well for designing the wish.

Does Reform Draconic have the more general word “siahrraki”? I’d have to assume so, but you didn’t mention it. Also, did I get the hypothetical spelling correct?

There's no reason why the word shouldn't be available. You spelled it right.
