Talk To Glowfic Characters

So we've started answering comments in "How To Read Effulgence" in character, and that's not really the ideal platform for those conversations. This is! You may address characters here and we may opt to answer in character. You will get a kind of loosely "backstage" out-of-continuity version of the character (in continuity proper, you cannot talk to them, since you aren't there) and if you want them at a specific (past relative to where we're writing) point in time, feel free to specify (e.g. "Addy in 1932", "Shell in her box", "the Joker while committed", "Minus right after he woke up from turning", "the alethiometer on the subject of 1207").

Any glowfic author may use this thread to receive questions.

Portals.

You can coin portals, do Aura's leak through portals? Do portals create shadows in Auras? Do they in gravity?(Higgs Boson hints that they should, because it strengthened the Standard Theory) Could you extent the reach of an Aura over a whole planet by imbuing all grains of sand with picoportals, or does that dilute the Aura too much? Can Aether do it?

What sort of portal are you talking about? I imagine we could coin any number of designs of things that technically count as a portal. My aura cares about line of sight and distance, though, not necessarily intervening space-folding, so whether a portal would let me spread it around farther would depend on other factors even if the portal "let aura through". I certainly can't comment on "gravity".

I guess you're not the Bell to ask about that even if you are the Bell most likely to profiteer from it. But Auras leak through Milliways' Doors. Eos has Portals between Moonstone Palace and Marspire and some other places. The question of "What kind of Portal?" Well you can find that out through... Muahahahaha EXPERIMENTATION! You can do Science on your Bubble of Science!

Aegis should know the gravity thing. If gravity works by gravitons(And we're pretty sure it does.) then if a portal lets through everything it should work as a shield against gravity.

The question is if you could somehow construct a portal that interacts with it's definition of distance. I wonder if using enchanting(a compatible system of magic) to do that is beneficial or rather hindering?
