Aegis is not strictly incorrect, but her explanation in that thread is incomplete and badly worded. She's right that it's monotonic: you can't make time go backwards in another world by waiting, an increase in time elapsed in one always accompanies an increase (or a holding-still) in the other worlds. It only gets to be longer and longer and never shorter. It just doesn't do it usefully. Aegis is also worried about Jane herself. It's possible from her perspective that Jane is undergoing cumulative damage of some kind.
